Peekaboo Photos

The day we got these pictures taken Easton was sick. We had already rescheduled twice so I took my chances. While Gracyn was the perfect child, smiling and loving the camera and attention. Easton on the other hand was horrible. He wouldn't smile. He wouldn't stay where he was supposed to. He wouldn't stay on the chair. He wouldn't, wouldn't, wouldn't...He was so ornery. The poor kid. I was also worried because almost all of his clothes were still in storage so I bought a few things but I bought them big so they would fit for the year to come not just for the photo shoot so they didn't fit great and I didn't prepare well. I was frazzled trying to change him and figure out what outfit to put him in quickly while he was so unhappy. I was sure with all that stacked against us we would surely not get any good pictures of Easton! But some how they turned out so cute! She even captured some smiles! Check out Peekaboo Photos. So good!

House Woes

I don't think I even have the energy I need right now to go into the saga we have been going through with our incompetent lender. Needless to say, addendum after addendum to postpone our closing date (which was supposed to be Sept 8) we are looking at who knows when... :( Sam and I are about to pull our hair out but we are staying positive that it will all turn out for the best in the end. I really believe that. Details of the saga to come once the house is ours.

Update! Update! Read all about it...

Most of you know Sam and I and E have been living at my parents waiting to close on a house. To make a long story short, there was a first house and now there is a second house we have fallen in love with and are set to move into Sept 8 or so. More updates on that house to come. There have been many pros and a few cons living with the folks but we are so excited to have a place of our own again.
Since moving to Arizona life has been a bit hectic, mostly because Sam has had to focus primarily on studying for his Naplex and Law tests so Easton and I missed him a lot and it was hard on him. But....Sam is officially a pharmacist! He passed both his Naplex and Law test and is a licensed pharmacist as of Friday. I am a very proud wife. It's pretty sexy to think he is now a Doctor and that he has accomplished so much. Yeah Sammy!

I decided to throw Sam a surprise party to celebrate him graduating and taking his last tests and passing and all that jazz. I had friends and family meet at Liberty Park and Easton and Sam and I went to the park early to the Tracy Aviary. Later, as we were "just taking a stroll" around the park we walked right up to where everyone was waiting and Sam didn't notice everyone until we were almost upon them and then he pointed and said "Hey". He was totally surprised so it was really fun. We had dinner and cake and enjoyed the nice weather and good company. I was so excited to give him the blanket I have been planning and hiding from him for 5 or so months now. I wrapped it with some cardstock paper so everyone wrote a little message to him while they waited for us. It was a good night.

I cut out pharmacy t-shirts from the Midwestern bookstore and used really soft flannel on both sides. We put Midwestern pharmacy patches on it and embroidered it with his name and then the date he graduated.

Here is where people wrote little messages to Sammy. Some more reverent than others
